A quick update to everyone on the current progress with the Aberfeldy Sports Club.
A message from our Chairman……
“We have new prices from builders to construct the Sports Club. These are quite a bit higher than we expected and so we are looking at ways to trim the costs by changing some details of the building. This also means that there will be a delay in starting the build.
A lot of the price increase has come from the need to raise the building up above the river level when it floods. There has been a change in planning legislation that means that the effects of climate change have to be included when calculating the highest future flood water level.
We are working through all of this with the contractors as well as our funders. This is going to take a couple of months and we will update you as soon as we can.”
